Join us for the 42nd Annual Conference of the Banking and Financial Services Law Association.

The conference will bring together leading practitioners, judiciary and academics to explore the issues shaping banking and financial services law across Australia and New Zealand.

Registration includes access to all conference sessions, materials, networking events, and meals during the conference.

Conference programme

This year's programme will feature a keynote address from Sir Geoffrey Vos, Master of the Rolls and Head of Civil Justice for England and Wales, and a judicial case law update presented by Justice John Bond of the Court of Appeal, Supreme Court of Queensland, and Justice Sally Fitzgerald, Chief High Court Judge of the High Court of New Zealand.

The programme will also include sessions on:

  • artificial intelligence in banking and financial services
  • Australia's new mandatory merger clearance regime and New Zealand's proposed Commerce Act reforms
  • funds finance
  • fraud and scam prevention across Australia and New Zealand
  • what keeps general counsel awake at night
  • directors' and officers' duties and liabilities
  • enforcing against property developments in insolvency
  • environmental matters in restructuring and insolvency
  • financing data centre infrastructure
  • Australasian prudential policy reform
